Deb Hopper brings you the ‘Tool Kit for Kids’ workshop, based on the extensive work of the world expert in child development Diana Henry. After touring with Ms Henry in 2011, Deb Hopper now has firsthand knowledge, and exclusive rights to present Diana Henry’s work in Australia. Keen to share the knowledge we can bring this workshop to your school or workplace.

• Are you a parent of a child that struggles with simple tasks such as eating, dressing, socialising, concentrating or co-ordination?
• Are you a teacher that wants to know how you can keep your class focussed and engaged all the time?
• Or do you work with children and would like to understand how Sensory Processing works and how it affects behaviour?
• Do you sometimes feel frustrated and powerless to help?

This one day workshop will empower you with the tools and knowledge that you need to help the children around you. Once you begin to understand Sensory Processing and how it works, you will begin to see the world through the eyes of the children.

This workshop is a fun user friendly event with movement, music and take away strategies to use right away, at home, school and day care.

‘Tool Kit for Kids‘ is a Foundation course – workshop dealing with therapy, school-based and family-based interventions for children facing sensory motor, developmental and social learning challenges. This workshop will give you the opportunity to learn the latest in evidence based research into sensory processing challenges, understand what it is, how to identify it and learn practical strategies to help the children around you.

This workshop covers a wide range of challenges that children face every day such as eating, dressing, sleeping or just following simple instructions; this workshop is hands on and highly participated so that you have the opportunity to walk in the shoes of a child with Sensory Processing Challenges. Once you understand what it feels like then you can really begin to help the children around you. This workshop offers many take home strategies that can easily be implemented into daily life. Take the opportunity to share with Deb and the class your experiences and enjoy practicing some practical strategies.

Tool Kit 4 Kids is the work of and produced by an international expert in sensory processing, Ms Diana Henry, of Henry Occupational Therapy Services. Deb Hopper is now contracted to deliver Diana’s workshops in Australia.
